Lia Ghilardi’s work in cultural planning often intersects with the work of architects, urban designers, and other built environment professionals. Since 2011 Lia has been an academician for the Academy of Urbanism, a network of influential thinkers, professionals and decision makers passionate about creating a better living for people in towns and cities. Part of her contribution to the Academy’s work is to give regular online talks to members on cultural planning and issues related to cultural regeneration in cities.

Here you can listen to the talk she gave together with Asier Abaunza Robles, Councellor at Bilbao City Council, on 21 April 2023, on the theme of ‘Planning Culturally for Sustainable Places’. https://www.theaou.org/resources/planning-culturally-for-sustainable-places

In August Lia featured in a webinar in conversation with Rudi Page (transformational specialist, MCW Connectivity https://www.makingconnectionswork.com/wp-content/uploads/WINDRUSH75COMMUNITIES-NOV-PPT.pdf).

Here Lia and Rudi explored methodologies for the engagement and inclusion of communities from a diverse cultural and ethnic background to work in the creative industries in London. The dialogue was part of the events organized by Rudi Page to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Windrush Day in the UK.
